How does it work?
After we receive your photo, we digitally resize & crop it so that the star's face will fit inside Enerkid's helmet. Then, using the latest post effects software and motion tracking, we "lock it" to the body of our live-action hero. The movie is then rendered out with your star as Enerkid! The entire production was written, designed and produced for this very purpose and the effect is quite seemless. The name of the star will also appear in the exciting opening title sequence, end credits and throughout the DVD's packaging and bonus features.

How long is the DVD?
Total running time is approximately 45 mintues. That's 14 minutes for the main feature plus over 30 minutes of personalized bonus games, supertoons and other cool stuff.

What age group is it appropriate for?
Enerkid VS the Monster Ray is a family-friendly adventure intended to entertain kids of any age. It's satirical sense of humor will no doubt appeal to parents as well.

What kind of photo do you need?
The digital or scanned photo should be one that features the subject's face clearly. JPEG files are preferred, at the best resolution available, keeping the file well under 5 mbs.

Do you ship overseas?
Yes, simply press the International Orders button on the Order Page.

Top

Can I use a picture of my dog?
Absolutely! Dogs, cats, albino mole rats... all species are welcome to carry the mantle of Enerkid. We only ask that you don't embarrass your pet in front of its friends.

Can I use a picture of a celebrity?
No. You can only use an image that we can reasonably assume you have the right to use (ie: yourself, a family member or friend)

Why do you want to know my kid's birthdate?
The birthdate is used in the "Are You Enerkid?" trivia game which is a bonus feature on the DVD. If you would rather not include this info, we will simply replace the game question with a generic one.

Do you share your customer info with other companies.
No. That's just evil. And we don't use any of those sneaky little check boxes that sign you up for useless "newsletters" either. No spam, no newsletter, just what you order. Sound fair?

Will the DVD work on my player?
The DVD-R technology that enables us to make personalized DVDs to order is supported by the vast majority of DVD players. Each disc is tested on multiple devices before being sent out and we use the most compatible and reliable discs on the market.

Top

That's nice, but what if my machine is weird and just won't play it?
If the disc will not play on your set top player or your computer due to incompatibility, we will provide the main feature in a different format (such as a downloadable video) free of charge. If the disc itself is faulty, we will replace it in a timely fashion or refund your money.

Top

Can I make copies of the disc?
Yes. I know that's an unusual policy in these copyright crazy times, but the personalized disc is yours to duplicate and edit as you like for non-commercial use. We only ask that if you want to post something online, you use the personalized trailer included as a bonus on the DVD and not the entire feature (which may spoil the fun for some kids and parents alike).

Can I send the picture in the mail?
Yes. If you'd rather send a picture by mail, we will scan and return it with the DVD (or separately if requested) at no extra charge. To do this, please follow the normal ordering/payment instructions but instead of attaching a photo, write "Snail Mail" in the Special Instructions box. We will then email you our mailing address. We can not be held responsible for lost or damaged photos due to the postal service, so please don't mail your only copy of a cherished picture.
